If you need to find out what your IP address is, you can easily do so by following the steps below. Your IP address is a unique identifier assigned to your device when you’re connected to the internet. The most common type of IP address is IPv4, and we’ll help you locate it using a simple website.
Step 1: Open Your Web Browser
You can use any web browser, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari.
Step 2: Go to “whatismyipaddress.com”
In the address bar of your web browser, type in the following URL and press Enter:
https://whatismyipaddress.com/
You will be taken to a website that will automatically detect and display your IP address.
Step 3: View Your IPv4 Address
Once the page loads, you will see your IP address displayed on the top section of the page. Look for the IPv4 address, as shown in the screenshot below.

86.42.000.000
Step 4: Copy the IPv4 Address (Optional)
If you need to copy your IP address for further use, simply highlight the numbers, right-click, and select Copy.
